Description :


This is a delightful small antique 19th century French pelmet/cantonniere.

It is made of dark green velvet, and has some lovely embroidery in silks which is highlighted with couched gold wire thread. I particularly like the little acorns, which are padded and covered with gold wire.

The piece is edged all round with a delicate gold metal trim.

It is in very good used condition.

This would look lovely hung on a wall, or could be-reworked in to different textile projects.

The piece measures (maximum) 12 x 40 inches.
