Description :


This auction is for three small pieces of antique 19th century Chinese embroidery on silk, which were probably originally part of a robe or jacket.

The pretty embroidery is worked in fine knot stich, with designs of exotic birds, flowers etc, and is highlighted with couched gold thread.

The silk background is very faded and discoloured in places but the embroideries are mostly in good condition and could be trimmed away to be re-worked in other projects.

The two rectangular pieces of silk measure 17 x 9.5 inches, the irregularly shaped piece is approx. 15 x 7 inches max.

I ship worldwide, from the UK and France.
