Patent Office, the books, magazine and newpaper articles of the last century concerned with railroads, and from the author's own experience as a young engineer active in railroad construction before World War One.

This is full of photographs of the history of the American
   railway cars. See the glamour of days gone by, the
   changes in construction, and how the passenger car
   evolved.
