by Terence Reese and Robert Brinig.  This book was published in 1980 by Cornerstone Library, New York.  There are 141 pages and it is in excellent condition with only very minor shelf wear to the cover and minor page edge discoloration due to age.

"Backgammon is a great game - easy to learn, fast, exciting, a perfect blend of chance and skill.  It must possess remarkable qualities to have lasted for 3,000 years.  Why then a book on the modern game?  For two reasons:  first, it has become tremendously popular;  second, new ideas have made it almost a new game."
