Old CAST IRON CAR w/ Unreadable Hallmark: Touring Sedan

This charming vintage toy, crafted in cast iron, features an old-fashioned touring Sedan. The toy boasts an engraved hallmark which we simply cannot read (please see final photo), but we are surmising that the Car hails from the ranks of the early 1900's hand-painted toys appreciated now for the folk art quality of their form and design.

The Car measures 4-1/2-inches from bumper to bumper by 2-inches wide and stands 1-3/4-inches tall. It is a substantial piece, as well, with a satisfying heft of nearly an entire pound.

The condition of this quality estate find is largely excellent, with no chips or repairs. The expected paint loss is surprisingly minimal, primarily on the whitewall tires, including the spare.

No Reserve with a reasonable minimum bid.
