This is a vintage box 1946-50's era of Christmas Indoor Lights in a series of 8.  One strand in box without the bulbs.  The strand will work with the bulbs inserted.  I think it would be best used as a "decorative" set kept in the box given the year the strand was made.  Someone has placed some black tape on the green cord but the cord does work. The box does have a tear in it but has been taped.
