First edition, ribbed green cloth, 6.75 x 9.75 in., 424 pages. A touch of mild wear to extremities, neat cloth tape reinforcement to hinges, a bit of minor toning to front and end matter, otherwise clean, tight, and fine.

An extensive, wide-ranging collection of essays and articles touching on the political, municipal, social, cultural, educational, religious, architectural, and commercial history of this Massachusetts city. In addition to contributions from such notable figures as Oliver Wendell Holmes and Charles William Eliot, the book is enhanced by dozens of photos of notable Cambridge personalities, buildings, and places of interest. Both a general index and an index of businesses in the city are included.
