• Covers are made of brown hand tooled leather over wood

• Covers are 1”thick

• Covers completely intact—apparent age related cracking of the front and back hinges

• Spine is chipped, and parts are missing—no danger to binding or integrity of book

• Remnants of spine have been secured to backbone with non acidifying museum quality adhesive (recommended by bookbinders)--no further chipping anticipated

• Covers are decorated with gold engravings

• Average wear at corners of both covers

• Pages have mild age coloring which frame the border of the page

• Gold gilt page edges are still intact

• No mold, mildew or inappropriate odors

• Color plates throughout

• Gold embossed lettering and raised bars on spine

• Binding is completely intact—no pages are loose or about to become loose!

• No pages missing, torn, or written upon

• Fly leafs are made of white moire vinyl
