Up for auction is a hardcover autographed book by, from and about Bob Love (Butterbean) from the Chicago Bulls.
Bob Love was traded to the Chicago Bulls in 1968 and played for them for 8 1/2 years. In that time, he was the first Chicago Bull to score 2000 points in one season. He led his team in scoring for seven consecutive years and later had his jersey number retired.
I attended a training conference in Chicago in 2001 where Bob Love was the keynote speaker. It was at this event that I met Bob Love, purchased his book and obtained his autograph on the inside front cover.
The book is a sweet story written for children about Bob Love's real life obstacles and his triumph over them, Bob Love was born with a severe speech impediment that did not hinder his ability to achieve success as a professional basketball player. He later overcame this through hard work and therapy to later become a public speaker.
The book is in excellent condition as I have stored it carefully for the last 8 years. Is from a non-smoking and pet-free home.
Would be a great gift for any Bob Love or Bulls fan!
