This is an excellent and noteworthy DVD because it is a simple, easy to use video showing
hand movements for more than 101 different rhythms that can be played in drum circles or
by a drummer playing alone. The demonstrations are played on a djembe, but the rhythms 
could be played on almost any type of drum. Those of us who work with beginning 
drummers welcome a basic drumming learning tool such as this. 
It differs from a lot of more complex drumming videos in that it focuses just on 
the rhythm and how to play it, and someone playing along can "get it" without being 
distracted by multiple players, voiceovers, and complex rapid rhythms. Every drummer 
has a preferred learning style, and this DVD fills a need for simplicity.

I purchased the DVD, "101 Drum Circle Rhythms" and was very pleased with this product. It shows a myriad 
of drum rhythms to add to any drum circle. I am mostly a visual learner, and the techniques used on the 
DVD are very helpful. Each rhythm is demonstrated an appropriate amount of time to allow you to pick up 
the rhythm and play along. I am very pleased with the versatility of the drum rhythms. This DVD is an asset 
for anyone who plays in a drum circle, and has something for everyone - from the basic to advanced drummer. 
This DVD has been a great tool to add to my kit bag and it is well worth the investment. -- Tom H.

101 Drum Circle Rhythms is now on DVD, so it is easier to see how they are played.
Actually, there is 124 of them. My choice was to either have a fancy menu, or to add an extra 20
rhythms on there. I went for the extra rhythms. You can scroll through them in groups of 5. 
 
These are assorted hand drumming rhythms from around the world. African, Afro-Cuban, Native American, 
Earth, Middle Eastern, Jamacian, Universal, Funk, Soul, & Rock and Roll. Each rhythm is about a minute 
long, plenty of time to really get into them. Perfect for drum circles, gigs, facilitators, teachers, just jamming 
by yourself, or with friends. Great for the djembe, congas, doumbek, bongos, samplers, or most hand drums.

This 2 hour DVD was professionaly recorded & produced at a production studio, and 
it is a huge amount of material. It comes new in the DVD case shown below.
 
These drum rhythms are challenging enough for experienced musicians, yet easy enough so that someone 
new to hand drumming can grow into them. They're great for belleydancers, & drumming teachers, as well. 
It's handy to have a nice body of work for reference material. There is a video sample on my site to give 
you an idea what you can expect to see on it. Please keep in mind, It is only 20 seconds of 4 rhythms, 
not the full minute of each one, like there is on the actual 2 hour DVD. 
 
My hope is to help you to enjoy drumming more, with friends, or by yourself.
