G. L. GILES holds a B. A. degree in English from the College of Charleston where she graduated cum laude.  She served in the United States Army, is a former cosmetics and lingerie model and is current in sales.  Ms. Giles is the writer of a scholarly essay on Nathaniel Hawthorne that appreared in a literary magazine, and of two award-winning poems published by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
