You get a dozen books: The New World, The Making of a Nation, The Growing Year, The Sweep Westward, The Union Restored, The Union Surrendered, The Age of Steel and Steam, Reaching for an Empire, The Progressive Era, War Boom and Bust, New Deal and Global War, and The Great Age of Change.  It describes the years from just before 1774 to 1945.  It is full of pictures, indexes, a master index, and chronological time lines.  You can read all about the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, elections of preidents, the problems they had, as well as a host of political cartoons.  The book are in fine condition.  You would never guess they were library discards.  Combine with others to save on shipping.
