Original works of art by Virginia
Beach Artist
Shawn Davis
"I wish I would have said something"

In this piece, the figure is
immersed in the regret of not speaking up when she had the
chance. So she daydreams of what could have been while her
head rests on her hands.
This mixed media painting, and others
in this series explore the idea of dual realities. The figure is
bound by the reality of a present circumstance , but longs to be set
free. The figures in this series exist within their "frames", yet
parts of them escape to the world outside.

Rich with detail, texture, and
depth!
This is an original mixed-media
piece on primed, heavy weight, 100% cotton rag paper. It comes
matted in a neutral, light gray mat and backed with foam core, framed under acrylic glass in a
black, 24" x 36", gallery style frame.
This piece combines my love of
architectural ornament, the figure, mixed media collage and painting.
