Vintage 50's Rawlings "ML Claw" Trapper Baseball Glove







Vintage Baseball Glove/Mitt: (1950's) Rawlings TM68 trapper (stamped: "Major League ‘Claw’") measures 12" (along contour of pocket from hinge to web) and is endorsed by Dee Fondy, 1951 -'58 (facsimile signature on side of pocket). Thickly padded leather. No holes, rips, or tears inside or out; minimal wear; somewhat "newish" - not broken-in. Leather lining smooth and comfortable - no chaffing; thumb and finger loop-straps solid. All lacing original. Rolled leather piping in excellent condition; stitching and seams also. Thumb and toe are reinforced to facilitate scooping balls out of the dirt; web is also reinforced by a riveted 1" strap. A previous owner’s marking was sanded off back side of web. Deep, easy-to-read stampings. Trappers were introduced by Rawlings in 1940 and remained popular into the 60's. This model was manufactured in the late 50's. Displays well and feels good to wear.
