This is a very neat find at an estate sale. There is a book titled The Original KTel Knitter, but the knitter in the pictuyres appears to be thin and plastic with a metal end with a hole for knitting that looks like a fountain pen nib.
This is not like the pictures, but is the same principle--it's made out of wood and the 2 pieces slide back and forthe where it's joined with the 2 flat metal pieces at the center. There is a nib with a yarn hole just like the KTel knitter and it seems to work with the same principle.
The book has 19 patterns and clear, very complete instructions for everything from baby things to ponchos and sweaters--even a bikini!
What a neat item for anybody's collection!
