Listing this approximately 2-yr old (150 hrs) Segway X2 for my engineering-professor brother who has moved on to his next toy—a Bombardier Spyder—which he’s riding to CA now.  Can’t do that on this Segway but it is a hoot to scoot around on locally.  My brother used it on campas to get between labs and office buildings with his testing gear. 

It’s in great operating shape with strong batteries, tires are very good and wheels have just a little paint scraped off the edges.  Included in the auction as shown in the pics are a set of new otr tires mounted on new wheels--never mounted on the Segway).  No operational issues or service problems.  Needs nothing. Being an engineer myself, I gave it a shot without a lesson and caught on pretty quick.  But I’d bet I could get my wife on America’s Funniest Videos if I let her jump on one of these—but I’d likely be in divorce court.

 

This auction includes some nice extras:

     -never-installed off road tires mounted on new wheels  (These cost about $600)

     -car hitch-mounted Segway carrier (installs in hitch receiver)

     -racks and rack-mounted hard-shell pannier bags

     -recharagable battery head light

     -cable lock

And of course the plug in charger cable.

A: Yes, tires on the Segway are stock in excellent condition. The OTR tires and wheels are extras that have never been used. thanks, john

 Q: Hi, I am interested but will not be able to travel to Cleveland to pick up. Do you no longer have the box? Shipping to northern Wisconsin shouldn't be a problem - except if there is no box! Ideas? Steve
A: I don't think he has the original box but I do have some large heavy appliance cartons which would probably be OK with UPS. The car carrier and extra wheels could be packed seperately. I'd ship for actual... Continue reading
