In recent months I have grown very fond of hatchets. I recently built a "poor mans" style porch rail for our old family house in the Catskills. I tried to use only old hand tools, most notably a Plumb hatchet just like this one. My old hatchet tore through black locust and thick cedar like butter and I know this one would do the same. This tool is close to perfectly clean, some areas of patina and no real rust. This is the condition in which I received the hatchet. The cutting edge is sharp! 3" cutting edge. It is much more important to have customers that are happy and whom would buy from me again. When you receive your package please check the actual postage, if you paid more than it cost I will gladly refund you the difference. Sunday nights are when all most all my auctions end. When the Sunday night auctions end I will send out invoices to those who have won more than one auction with a revised shipping cost. As many of my repeat customers know, I am a consolidation machine. It is not unusual for me to give a week or two grace period on payment in an effort to safe on shipping cost.
