You might ask me, "Why are you writing a book, certainly nothing you can say will differ from that of the "master" coaches. This is certainly true. In fact, very little can ever be classified as "new" any year in basketball. What I have attempted to do however, is present my ideas as they pertain to coaching basketball in high school. Most high school coaches I know, are not blessed with the 6'5", 6'5", 67", 6'2", 6'2", lineup. They take what shows up, and what to do with that material, is what I am writing about.

A well organized team will win for you, regardless of what material other teams might have. My ideas are not original. I owe all of my knowledge to my own high school and college coaches; information I have picked up in clinics, and to the members of my great coaching fraternity, who never fail each year to teach me a trick or two as we compete against them. This material is an accumulation of things that I have acquired over the years.
