Boye Balene II knitting needles feature "Speed tips".

(These defied my best efforts to photograph.)

So, I will endevor to describe.

These needles have super pointy points.

The tips, instead of being a standard straight edge cone shape

are a convex curved cone.

The man made material, is a substitute for balene or whale bone.

The needles are flexible and warm in your hand.
