This pair is certainly out of my area of knowledge but they came from an old estate and I had to have them. My research shows they are Asante or Ashanti fertility figures or dolls from Ghana in Southern Africa. A female is the usual but this is a pair. One is clearly a female with breasts and the other ? a male ?? (does not show breasts nor male features)  . Great look and appears to have quite some age.

The figures are 13" high approx. Sold as is ~ you know more than me on this pair. Very good condition with remnants of black stained or painted wood.
