Offered is wooden inlaid mosaic Backgammon and Chess game board and storage box. It is approximately 19 1/2" square and wonderfully done. It is most likely done in the Middle East. Research has told us that is probably olive ,rosewood,lemonwood and pine. Board and box is in good condition except for fading on one side of chess board. Chess pieces are the classic African Big 5. They are marked "Gala Star Hand Painted in South Africa". All are approximately 3 1/4" tall. 3 pieces have damage but they are easily corrected with a dab of paint. One dark rhino has a slight chip on ear. Second dark rhino is missing a small piece of horn. Light colored Rhino has a small chip on ear. All in all it is a very striking board and set. Pick ups are not available.We are very close to Manhattan and will occasionally offer hand delivery on expensive items over $5000 if appropriate.
