VINTAGE SWEDEN CHRISTMAS LOT HP WOOD TREE ORNAMENTS ++

The spirit charm and nostalgia of vintage Christmas is arriving early this year! I always prefer to avoid the rush, as the holidays inch closer and closer. After a recent trip   and the discovery of a huge inventory of vintage Christmas items from every category imaginable, I am releasing a varied assortment of treasured holiday items. From the dining table to the Christmas tree, under the tree, mantel and everywhere in between!

Each attic in the array of estate sales that I attended, seemed to tell a story of Christmas' past and the families that cherished these items and their traditions of celebration that spanned many, many decades. As I prepared the many listings of these time worn treasures, it felt like a trip down Christmas memory lane and a far simpler era long ago. I am pleased to offer these vintage Christmas items at auction, so that they may find a place of distinction in a collection, or a position in a vintage holiday decorating and entertaining themed decor so that the glow of Christmas past can continue to evoke memories and new traditions for many, many more Christmas' to come.

Offered for auction is a LARGE, diverse LOT of VINTAGE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS from SWEDEN. I found this collection together and chose to keep them together. It seems as though the former owner cherished these traditional items and combined them together to present a splendid display.

PLEASE NOTE: The candles are NOT included in the auction. I used the candles for the photos, to best capture the presentation.**

ONE (1) VINTAGE WOOD HANDPAINTED CHRISTMAS TREE with wooden candle holder cups. **This tree is formed by placing two slotted sides together, creating a criss cross design that allows the tree to stand upright.** Measures: 11 1/2" TALL x 9" WIDE at it's widest point. NINE (9) candle cup holders are situated at the tip and ends of the branches. It is in very, very good vintage condition.

ONE (1) VINTAGE HANDPAINTED WOOD NUTCRACKER RED WHITE DOTTED TOADSTOOL design that measures: 4 1/4" HIGH x 2 1/2" WIDE and is in EXCELLENT CONDITION.

TWO (2) piece SET of VINTAGE HANDPAINTED WOODEN CANDLESTICK CANDLE HOLDERS, red white green floral, stamped SWEDEN on the base. Measures: 3 1/2" in DIAMETER and each holds a standard size candle taper.

FIVE (5) piece SET of VINTAGE HANDPAINTED WOOD TOADSTOOL MUSHROOM CANDLE HOLDERS. ONE is a larger size with paper label on the base "MADE IN SWEDEN" that measures: 2 1/2" HIGH x 2 1/4" WIDE, with FOUR smaller examples each stamped "MADE IN SWEDEN" on the base. Each measures: 1 5/8" high X 1 1/4" WIDE. This set holds a slender candle size.

TWO (2) piece SET of VINTAGE HANDPAINTED WOOD, SMALL FOOTED CANDLE HOLDERS. RED with a small floral spray. **These are also for a slender candle size.**

EIGHT (8) piece SET VINTAGE RED WOOD APPLES with leather "stems" that measure: 1 1/4" in diameter.

FOUR (4) VINTAGE WOOD HAND PAINTED ORNAMENTS: GIRL IN CLOGS, PAINTED HORSE PONY, BOY and GIRL.

EIGHTEEN (18) VINTAGE PAPER CHRISTMAS COASTERS with scalloped edges and printed CHRISTMAS GRAPHICS. TEN (10) GOD JUL with GNOME ELF and EIGHT (8) HOLLY BERRY GREENERY. Measure: 3 1/4" in DIAMETER.

Also found within this LOT, inside a glassine envelope were THREE VINTAGE DIECUT PAPER CHAINS with CHRISTMAS themed designs. All three examples are marked: MADE IN SWEDEN and appear VERY OLD, spanning different decades. There are some creases and a few "tape" patches by the former owner. The lengths vary with each example. They fold into an accordion style and stand upright when opened. **Please refer to the photo for lengths.**  They feature JULENISSE GNOME ELVES and DANCING BOY and GIRL in traditional SCANDINAVIAN costume. i thought theses paper garlands could also be separated and fashioned into individual hanging ornaments, or wreath garland accents.

Overall a TERRIFFIC VINTAGE LOT of SCANDINAVIAN CHRISTMAS items to add to a collection, or to take center stage in a table top or fireplace mantel vignette. **Please be certain to view the other Scandinavian items in separate listings from the same estate.**
