ooak Sculped Halloween Witch by Betty Lou Byrnes

Everyone gets older, even witches! When Amelia noticed she needed help with take offs and landings, she did something about it. Now she is a high flyin’ fright machine on her new bi-plane, nothing can hold her back. Her face is pure joy, her eyes twinkle with delight and she clutches her hat, as the flying machine slices through a dark Halloween sky. BUT look closely and you will see…. just in case…. her trusty broom is on board. 

I sculpted Amelia’s head, hands, legs and feet from Prosculpt. She is 12 inches high (seated),and 15 inches in length. She sits on top of a wooden byplaine hanging on for dear life. Her dress is topped with a ruffled collar and a polka dot bow and scalloped trim around the sleves. The heringbone skirt is tucked under a needle sculpted cloth body. The cape is wired to look as if it's blowing in the wind. Her boots are hand made of soft black leather and laced up the front. Her felt hat has a ruffle around the brim and her hair is made from silkey mohair.

I have signed the piece on the bottom it comes with a signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity guarantying it to an original piece by me Betty Lou Byrnes. My work has been published in many well-known art doll magazines as well as in the ‘Better Homes and Gardens Santa Claus Collection’. I am delighted to say that two of my original Santa's will be published in the winter edition of Art Doll Quarterly.
