Up for auction is a used, good conditon, hard cover book ''No Greater Love'' by Danielle Steele (best selling author!

This is a GREAT love/life/hardship fiction story about a woman's ordeal on the Titanic. If you love fiction stories from victorian era's, Danielle Steele books, or Titanic fiction books than this is definitley for you :). This novel covers not only her ordeal on the titanic, but for more than a decade afterward as she tries to rebuild her life.

This is one of my favorite books! I am hard pressed to part with it, but i have to to make extra money for a cross country move :(

Here is the inside cover's description of the storyline:

''As Edwina watched the threee diant propellers outlines on the stern against the sky, there was a roar like no other she had ever heard, as though the ship were actually breaking in half, but all were told that this coundnt have happened. And all Edwina knew, as she watched the hideous sight, was that she didnt know where Charles or Phillip or Alexis or her parents were, or if any of them had made it to safety. She clung tightly to George's hand, and as she pulled him close to her and hid his eyes as they both cried in lifeboat number eight, watching the tragedy that had befallen the unsinkable Titanic.''

'' As the eldest daughter in a large and happy family, Edwina Winfeild was returning from her engagement trip to England with her fiance, her parents, and five siblings on the maiden voyage of the greatest ship ever built.''

the next descriptive paragraph is somewhat of a spoiler, so ill leave it out and skip to the next one.

'' She must return to SF with five young children, to care for them, run the family newspaper, and take on responsibilities that are both overwhelming and unexpected. Phillip, eldest of the boys, does  everything he can to help her, before going to Harvard, and later the Great War (ww1). George, madcap boy, is the humoor and laughter in the family until unexpectedly Hollywood beckons and he follows his dreams. Alexis follows eventually,  courting the excitment and disaster in the world of film, but alwsys with Edwina watching over them with love and wisdom. And Fannie and Teddie, the younger ones, remain at her side as loving children.

'' Edwina's adventures and struggles to keep the family together go on for twelve long years, as she carefully avoids any romantic involvement. But as each child sets sail at last, to Hollywood, Europe and elswere, (spoliers omitted :)   ). Edwina finds her own life finally, and frees herself from the ghosts  of those she loved and lost on the Titanic. Her life is far different than it would have been, but in some ways in the end, far more exciting than she had expected.''

Any questions dont hesitate to ask :)

thannks for considering my item!

Forgot to mention, the sleeve to the book has a slight cut that goes from where the picture of the titanic is to the right end of the sleeve. its a very fine cut, and has been scotched taped on the insde part of the sleeve. this will NOT tear. there is also a small triangle section on the sleeve inside cover that has been cut out. the cut out part doesnt cut off any text , just the white part of the sleeve.  I have noticed that some similar books are selling with shipping price not listed as media mail. media mail includes books and saves the buyer money. This auction's shipping uses media mail.

thanks-
