You are bidding on (2) Identical Plastic Superman Cereal Bowls plus a limited edition collectors glass. To promote the December 15th 1978 release of the movie "Superman" that starred Christopher Reeve, a number of items were issued.This auction is for 3 very different , distinct and somewhat rare and collectible items. The 1st are 2 plastic cereal bowls with wording on the bowls that read: TM's AND DC COMICS INC 1978. On the bottom it says: DAWN: Garfield, N.J. The bowls have the word Superman emblazoned on one side with a cartoon picture of the man of steel flying to who knows where to save who knows who. Then there is the "S" crest logo followed by the most unique thing. A photograph of Superman portrayed by the late actor Christopher Reeves. He is shown in a prone position acting as the missing link between a broken and collapsed railroad track. Ahhh, our hero saves the day again. Both bowls do show some minor wear but all in all, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd rate them both a solid 8. I looked at every page of Superman items for sale and these are the only ones I've seen. They would definitely make a great addition at your fortress of solitude breakfast table. 2nd is a beautiful glass that was issued in association with Pepsi Cola. The glass shows the same image of Superman lying prone across the broken railroad tracks, but this is cartoon drawing and not a photograph like the cereal bowls. It also bears an image of Superman being rewarded with a kiss from his main squeeze Lois Lane. The back of the glass has the heading that reads "The Caped Wonder To The Rescue" with a capsule describing the story line. The decals and lettering on the glass are in perfect to near mint condition as is the glass itself. But wait.. if you order now.... and operators are standing by.... I will include not 1, not 2, but 3...yes 3...mint in package, 1997 Burger King Kids Club give aways. 2 of them are the same and are Lois Lane looking good in her convertible. The 3rd one is Superman himself. Again, these 3 items are still sealed in the bag and in mint condition. If for some reason you are legitimately dissatisfied with these items, return them within 7 days and I will refund your money. You must return both bowls and 3 bonus items as they are being auctioned as a lot. I am not selling these items seperately. I accept Paypal, Personal and Cashiers Checks but any checks need to clear before I ship. Shipping is a flat rate $8.50 to anywhere in the U.S. Insurance or express shipping is extra and up to you.
