Vintage Gillette Razor - 1953 Super Speed Very Good!!

For Auction:  One (1) 1953 Gillette Super Speed TTO Razor - Very Good Condition - Shave Ready!

Here is a beautiful example of the original-style Gillette Super Speed, one of the best-shaving razors ever made.  This 1953 version (date code Y-3) was well taken care of over the years.  It looks and feels as close to new as a vintage used razor can get!

The doors open and close smoothly.  The razor is square and straight, and the blade clamps tightly.  It shaves like a dream . . . and except for some very light scratches from normal use, looks like it just came out of the package!  What a shine!!

This is one of those razors that could wind up in someone's collection for ever and ever . . . but I truly hope it will be adopted by a wetshaver who will enjoy it daily for years to come!  (Let me know what you think!!)

ABOUT MY RAZORS:

I am a double-edge wetshaving enthusiast.  Most vintage razors that I sell have been reconditioned, and are offered for both collecting and daily use.  I do not recondition razors that are rare, unused, or in their original unopened packaging - I leave that to the buyer to do as desired!

Reconditioned razors are cleaned, sterilized, adjusted, polished, and inspected prior to listing.  Certain razors (as indicated) are also "Shave Tested" to make sure that they perform as a good vintage double-edge razor should.  All Shave Tested razors are then sterilized again prior to shipment for your protection.
