ITEM:   Vintage ~ Antique Christmas Spoon

DETAILS:  Very ornate, Gorham sterling silver spoon with lots of decor. The front of the spoon handle has Victorian Santa at the top of chimney with a bag of toys, with bells and holly below, and  "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The bowl has fireplace scene with stockings hung from the mantle. There is also a candle, pair of small shoes and a clock on the mantle. The spoon is also detailed on the back side with the back of Santa, his bag of toys and more bells and holly.

MATERIALS:   Sterling Silver

TIME PERIOD:   Antique 1890s ? - 1910

MARKINGS:  Spoon is marked with the Gorham lion, anchor, G trademark and the word Sterling

MEASUREMENTS:  4.25" long 

WEIGHT:  12 grams

CONDITION:   Very Good, no damage or repairs, details are sharp and clear, no wearing to the design, does have some tarnish/patina, which I have left intact. This would easily polish up shiny like new if so desired.
