The creation of this trunk is a storage option for your beloved Christmas treasures. Hand painted, exquisite detail adorns this trunk. The result is this unforgettable one-of-a-kind Christmas Family Trunk created just for you. This trunk is my one-of-a-kind work of art. Holiday season comes and goes you want to take special care when you are storing each Christmas ornament. Not every Christmas ornament you own is delicate or an Heirloom. The cost of ornaments is one consideration to keep in mind when you are storing them. If a Christmas ornament costs a lot you are going to definitely want to take special care of it. Sometimes a Christmas ornament might have sentimental value and those are priceless.
If you spent a small fortune on Christmas ornaments and collectables or some have sentimental value you are certainly going to want a special storage place. This trunk is especially made for Collectables, Heirlooms, and Posh Items. With this trunk you will definitely have a very special storage place for each and every item.

Who is this person that created this Christmas Trunk?
I am a faux painting professional with over 18 years experience who provides professional painting services in faux textures, color consultations, custom artwork, Murals, furniture painting and more. I grew up involved in various construction and design trades before I began my professional painting career.
My name is Mona I am an artist by God's will. The passion and dreams they never seem to stop. Who is this person that created this trunk? I have remodeled trunks for 10 years. What my goal was /still is to have several to sell on my own website then go from there to create more. There's nothing like this that I have seen. Every year I search to see if someone has had the same ideas and made them. Not yet. 10 years ago I bought an antique trunk at a garage sale. I bought it when my daughter was 3years old. I love sewing and I made my kids costumes. For all the time I put into making the costumes, I wanted to have a special place to put them over the years. I bought the trunk deigned it around the Wizard of Oz. still have the trunk today. Over the years in my painting business I showed pictures of the trunk. That was a spin off of many more to design. It takes a lot of time to invest in restoring a trunk to any degree. Thru the years I have owned a fabric/ quilt store and still painted to finance the Business. The painting company made more money then the fabric store. I am selling on eBay a lot of my fabric from the shop. I decide to go ahead and sell the latest Christmas trunk I have. This one has taken the longest time. There is no reserve on the trunk. I feel that the trunk will sell itself because of what purpose it is designed for. There's not anything out there like it. I have three others that are totally different. Of course I made one for my family. I have heirlooms handed down. There was no place to keep them safe. Now I feel an ease knowing where they are and they are protected. So many times we open a box or plastic bin we store them in and find some broken over the past year. Well it does not happen now. Plus my trunks are so much of a conversation piece. I leave mine out by the tree and just fill it with presents. I don't have an Ipod speaker system in mine. But the pink trunk does! I designed this trunk in this style and colors because I love pink! Pink , Black and Silver were hot colors last year and they are still a big win this year.
The Description and the Creation Story.
Huge Antique Dome Top Trunk 34.5"L x 19"W x 27"H
This humpback trunk was made around 1880. This is very well made with cast steel latches, wheels and lid lifter Metal Covered with Hardwood Slats. Hardwood runners on the bottom with large barring wheels with complete rotation movement. This trunk has an extremely rare metal covering. Over half the trunk is covered with metal. When this trunk was made the metal covering it is in a design of it's own. I knew this would be a challenge to co-ordinate that into my design. That metal cover needed a very special appeal. There was no way you could down play that. Then the top was going to be difficult because it needed a design all it's own. I had a challenge on my hands but I was ready for it. Believe me, it takes many hours of painstaking brush strokes and patience for these results. This trunk went thru a deep cleaning, stripping, bleaching, rust removed, primed before I brought it in the studio to work on it. All metal covering and trim, both steel and tin have been cleaned with all rust removed This trunk has some dents, modest on the front, sides and top. That is one of the reasons I was attracted to this trunk. The trays inside were missing lids and I added lids and extra compartments. Working with this trunk was a challenge. The front facing of the lock was missing, yes I could have ordered a new one, I felt that it did not need to have a lock there. I designed a cover for the latch using part of an old drawer pull. Made of metal added the jewels to complete the look. Hand painted custom design work using water suitable paints and metallic paint. Metallic paint colors are custom made Hot Pink, Light Pink. Silver, White Pearl, Black. It is a safe, non-toxic, paint It is extremely color fast and stable — it will not tarnish or fade plus added all over the trunk Poly-acrylic many coats to seal and protect the finish. The leather handles were missing. I found the pink handles from a belt I used. The top dome is heavy, especially when filled with items. I added silver handles on the front of the lid to easily open. I wanted this Christmas trunk to be loaded with a compartment for everything. Six months working on this trunk. It was completed in December of last year.
While your decorating your tree, your Christmas trunk will play your favorite music with my built in Ipod Speaker system.
