Daddy, so many feelings come to mind

this day you walk me down the aisle.

As I take your arm and look into your eyes,

I can't help but give a heartfelt smile.

My mind goes back to the tenderness that

you showed when I was small.

You played with me when I was little;

and were there to pick me up when I would fall.

Today is truly a happy day,

but I know you will understand,

that there may be a tiny tear,

when I reach to take his hand.

I thank you for your blessing

as today I make this new start,

and dad, please know there will forever be

a special place for you inside  in my heart!
