Dell Inspiron 6400

This is the sad tale of a good computer. Because it was so much faster and better than the old laptop, we named it Happy Lappy. This laptop was a companion on long business trips. It provided directions, when I was too cheap to buy a stand-alone GPS. It allowed us to edit photos and videos of our family. We burned CD's, DVD's, and I upgraded it when I had the chance to keep it running nicely. It was at the hospitals for the birth of our second and third children. We surfed the Internet lying in bed, watched Hulu, and Netflix while it was connected to our TV.

Then one sad day I pushed the power button and a terrible thing happened...NOTHING!!

It would not power on. I thought it was the power supply because the green indicator light on the transformer was not on. I plugged in the power supply alone and the light turned on, but the second I plugged it into the lappy the light went off. I used a friends power supply that was more powerful, and when I plugged that in the green indicator light started blinking; also not normal. I tried to replace the AC Jack with no luck.

Now I have admitted defeat and decided to sell it. You are getting some great parts for your Inspiron if you purchase the lifeless form of my tragic laptop. This purchase will be as-is because I have no way to test the parts. This laptop does not power on. But the parts that were in working condition at the time that it stopped working are as follows:

I was mistaken on the LCD screen size. This is the original LCD panel that came with the laptop in 2006, and the screen size is 15.4" not 15.6"
