Hi, it’s Mike with Toys Undercover. We started making covers for motorcycles in 2005 and found that we had other bikers that were looking for the same qualities in a cover that we were. We wanted a cost effective cover that didn’t break the bank and that would protect our bikes from moisture build up on the surface as well as keep the bike clean while it was in the garage. Additionally, we wanted something that wouldn’t scratch the paint and was easy to put on and take off when not in use.
One of our dealers for the bike covers asked us to develop a watercraft cover that would breathe and prevent the mold and mildew that comes with a waterproof cover. We used the same breathable, water resistant materials as used in our bike covers. The material that we use is actually the same material that surgical drapes for in hospital patient surgeries are made from. We have a fantastic dust cover that keeps the finish and seats on the watercraft in perfect condition. Oh yeah, it’s cost effective also.
They also wanted a waterproof cover that didn’t get destroyed by the harmful UV rays of the sun when the boat was stored outside. The development criteria were to have a cover, with the elasticized band at the bottom, that was waterproof, UV protecting and cost effective. The perfect solution was to use a material called Thermalite, TM Encompass Group LLC. It is extremely light weight, strong and cost effective. We double sew the seams to prevent breakage and keep the seams to the inside to protect the thread from the UV Light. The bottom of the cover has a full hem with an elastic shock cord that is adjustable for the user. A side effect from using the reflective material is that it doesn’t allow heat to build up under the cover. Your boat will remain the same temperature as the outside temperature. Not bad for a cover selling for under $30.00
We also included with the cover, a drawstring bag made out of the same material as the cover, whether it is the dust cover in Navy blue or the waterproof Thermalite cover in gray, it is a handy bag for use when in storage. These covers are not intended for transport, our engineers have determined that the stress put on the cover, when wind velocities hit 70 MPH, are what causes the consumer to have tearing around the mirrors and handlebars. So even if you don’t buy our cover, think about that with a $220.00 cover, it may last a little longer.
Our product fits both a 2 and 3 seat Jet Ski. We pride ourselves with customer service and give a one year warrantee against any workmanship defects on our covers. Also, if you don’t like the cover for any reason, I’ll send you the purchase price and the cost of shipping back to you once we receive the cover back at the factory.
We prefer our customers to use Paypal but if that doesn’t work for you, call us and we’ll work out the best method for you to pay for your cover. I personally take care of all customer service so if you have a problem, I’ll be the one taking care of you.
