I am reluctantly selling the threshold of my RC collection. "Black Diamond" is a completely one of kind boat build from a 48" Forabuck Viper Hull. The graphics are automotive-grade decals and the diamond pattern is molded into the fiberglass (looks bitchin' out in the sun!). She runs in the high 40's to low 50's, is super-stable and turns on a dime! Exhaust comes out the left custom machined brass exhaust port and the cooling water comes out of the right one for a realistic appearance. She is in bristol used condition and has never been run in salt-water or flipped. Here is a list of what she has: 26cc Zenoah engine with modified intake and exhaust ports. Bonzi Sports aluminum velocity stack Custom machined water jacket Walbro 257 carb with Top Secret hardware needle locks and aluminum throttle stand-off Billet aluminum starter handle Dual Boost Induction System (yes they make a difference! See below for a description.) Spektrum DX3S 3 channel radio with built-in fail-safe, and a telementry system that allows you to monitor engine temperature and engine RPM's right on the transmitter's screen (instructions included) JR high-torque digital rudder servo with billet aluminum arm JR high torque analog throttle servo with billet aluminum arm Top Secret billet aluminum servo mounts 3300 mah rx battery with external charging jack so you don't have to pull the radio box cover off to charge the batteries. Top Secret rudder with dual water pickups, Stinger drive, trim tabs, and turn-fin. Dubro Tygon fuel line. Water-proof external kill switch. 3 blade sanded, balanced and polished prop with Top secret boats bullet-style prop nut. 1/4" flex shaft Heavy-duty racing clutch Walbro pulse-driven water pump with a billet aluminum bracket for safe idling S-bend exhaust header with custom-machined water-cooled header Water-cooled in-hull racing pipe. Stainless steel hardware throughout FYI, the transmitter fell off my truck's tail-gate and while it functions fine, the antenna base broke, so the antenna doesn't swivel now, and I also carved a + and - by the throttle adjustment switch so I could adjust throttle speed easier on the fly without stalling the motor... looks like crap, but comes in handy while tuning the engine. This boat is truly unique and there is nothing mass-produced about it! I have about $2,500 invested in it, and hate to let it go, but I have other priorities. Reserve is far less than half of what I have invested in the boat! All you will need to get going is 87 octane gasoline, 2-cycle synthetic oil, 4 AA batteries for the RX and a hand-crank fuel pump. The stand is not included, but if you want it, I'll ship it separate for an extra $25.00. You can make one out of PVC pipe very easily. This boat is not a toy and can be very dangerous! It should only be operated by someone who has experience with large-scale RC boats and adult supervision for anyone under 16. Here is a link to a Youtube video of the boat in action with an on-board camera attached (camera not included): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcZOimTAO6s Here is a description of the Boost System: ****HOW BOOST BOTTLES WORK **** As the engine (any engine) draws fuel and air in through the carb on the intake cycle, the spark plug fires this mixture forcing the piston down and sucks a small amount of air into the carburetor for the next intake cycle. As the piston and crank bottom’s out on the bottom of the cylinder, the piston begins to make its return upward. As this cycle is happening, the piston pushes air back through the carburetor naturally under pressure. This action creates a reverb effect and causes the air / fuel mix to become double rich as by now it is processed TWICE by your carbs fuel jets. Most commonly, this results in rough idle, hesitation, bogging, and the ever-so- frustrating: Sputtering at top end. The reason the sputtering and bogging is happening is because of the double rich mixture. Heavy exhaust smoke, heavy engine loading is often looked at as too much oil / fuel ratio, bad carburetor, etc. While this may be one of those problems, it often is not. Your engine is actually choking itself out with a bad fuel mix! The installation of our Boost Induction Systems™ Boost bottles eliminates this nagging problem. (Hence the location of the inlet) Our Patent Pending Internal Metering System™ Automatically adjusts itself to work with your engines compression and carburetor. Our bottles will eliminate the reverb caused by your pistons return to top dead center (TDC) and remove the double mix! Now, with the bottle installed, operators are now no longer fooled by the double rich mix. This now allows proper adjustability of the carburetor! Tired of sacrificing top end speed for low end? Or low end speed for high? That’s because you have a double rich mix.You cannot have one or the other without a proper intake booster (Boost bottle). WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A "DUAL" BOTTLE KIT? WHY ARE 2 BOTTLES BETTER THAN ONE? (This boat has two!!) This is a great question. Having 2 inlets on the manifold doubles the passageway for both the rising pressure of the cylinder, and the other inlet for the downward. They will both work together to smooth out the incoming airflow and add a substantial amount of power rather than just one bottle alone. While a single bottle kit is VERY effective, the Double bottle kits are demanded by the more savvy engine builders, and competition racers whom have upgraded their engines and are going for the "Elite" in horsepower, torque and RPM gains rather than just a recreational hobby enthusiast. WHAT IS IN THE BOOST BOTTLE AND DO I NEED TO REFILL IT? No, you do not need to refill the boost bottle as their sole purpose is to even out your fuel mix and apply the right amount of pressure to let you carburetor breathe better. Once your boost bottle is mounted on your engine, please do not remove it. It will outlast the life of your engine and can be transfered from one engine to another for years to come. It does not need to be refilled. |
