In honor & respect of the previous owner, he described this set as "a beautiful Turkish backgammon set. Handmade with pearl inlays.
Unique tiles and real bone dice. He went on to invite others to sit at a mellow coffee house and play a few games. The game is called "Tavla" in Turkish."

This set is absolutely beautiful. The pictures speak volumes.
  • Condition is used & clearly aged but all inlays are in tact.
  • Wood is bumped gently in a couple of places but not missing.
  • Mother of Pearl is brilliant.
  • The old wood shows wonderful grains.
  • The box is mitered at joints.
I love this set and have looked at many...that don't even come close to the style and quality. A real treasure.
