With its alluring tales of Gothic mystery and supernatural intrigue, DARK SHADOWS became one of the most popular daytime series of all time. The program has evolved into a cult classic since originally airing on ABC-TV from 1966-1971. The introduction of Jonathan Frid as Barnabas Collins, a guilt-ridden, 175-year-old vampire, brought the show tremendous success.

Ghosts, witches, and werewolves appeared as DARK SHADOWS alternated its stories between the present day Collins family and their ancestors in the past. Among the well-known actors who began their careers on DARK SHADOWS are Kate Jackson (Charlie's Angles) and David Shelby (Falcon Crest). This tape features a collection of highlights from a truly unique television classic.
