This is beautiful old pot from a William Lange Paramount banjo, Style B Tenor.  It is well suited for any bluegrass, jazz or Celtic music banjo.  It still has its original skin head and all the nuts match on the 24 brackets.  The brackets have a some corrosion but the rest of the nickle plating shines brightly.  These pots were used for top of the line instruments during the jazz age and are coveted for their brassy tone and substantial volume.  The resonator has belt buckle scratches and the dings one would associate with a much played instrument, but it could be refinished or left in its original state, showing honest wear.  The skin head measures 11 1/8 inches within the tension hoop.
