99p start price - and LOW RESERVE... When I first got this, it was in fantastic condition, but the trademark rubber strap was for a very small wrist, quite worn, and starting to tear. So, I've recently had the old rubber strap replaced with a brand new genuine Hublot Band (expensive!), professionally fitted by Goldsmiths, who had to order a screw from Switzerland to replace the one I'd lost (£15, for a screw so small you can barely see it....). This watch is now in as-new condition, and will fit up to an 7.85 inch (195mm) wrist (the Hublot strap must be cut to decrease size, but at least you'll have plenty to play with). Please read on.
Dial Beautiful Starburst effect Silver Dial. Slim Silver Spear Hour and Minute hands, with white trim. Silver baton sweep Seconds hand, with counterbalance. Signed 'HUBLOT', 'Automatic' above centre, 'MDM', 'Geneve' below centre, 'Swiss Made' at 6 o'clock. Arabic Numbers in black at 1 through 11, with a raised stylised 'H' logo in Silver at 12. Minute markers on outer part of dial, with white dot markers at each 5 minute interval. Date Window at 3 o'clock. Condition excellent. Case Classic circular buffed Stainless Steel fixed bezel. Buffed steel shoulders. Polished steel at sides. Excellent condition, barely any signs of use, no visible scratches or marks. Steel Backcase is secured by 6 screws (Pic 5), and is marked as follows: Outer: Modele, Depose, Wat. Res, 5ATM, 1530.1(model No), 260310 (Serial No.). Inner: Stylised H', and HUBLOT (R)' Logos, 'MDM, 'Geneve'. Excellent condition. Crown Original, 'H' Signed, Steel, ridged edge, excellent condition (Pic 11). Crystal Scratch Resistant Crystal Sapphire, original, perfect condition. Movement Original Hublot Signed Swiss Automatic movement. Examined by my local watchmaker back in February, who reports it is in excellent condition. Watch has been on a winder for some time, and is running beautifully, keeping extremely accurate time (Last test over 8 days, less than +-5 seconds variance). Strap Brand New genuine signed Hublot strap has been fitted (at great expense!), by Goldsmiths (receipt and old used strap will be included in the auction - see Pic 3). Signed butterfly deployant clasp in excellent condition (Pics 4 & 9). Will fit up to a 7.85 inch (195mm) wrist. Running condition Running, and keeping excellent time. Tested over 8 days, seems accurate to @ +-5 seconds per day max. Measurements Width without crown - 37mm, Lug to Lug - 43mm, depth 7.5mm. Weight total 53 grams. Other - This is a real stunner! In pristine condition, and with the new Hublot Rubber strap fitted, it's hard to believe this is a 1980's watch. Hublot have a deserved reputation as a high-end watchmaker, and this early example is just superb. To find one in this condition is just going to be more difficult as time goes by. I really can't see any marks or scratches on the case or crystal, and the strap is brand new. I have put a very reasonable Reserve on this item, as I've invested some considerable time and money on it. I'm going to start the auction at just 99p! I've tried to be as accurate as I can in the description of this watch, please read the description and look at the photographs carefully. Please Note: The majority of watches I sell are pre-owned. Whilst I go to every effort to describe the watches accurately, you should be aware that should a watch be marked Water Resistant or Waterproof, that was the case when it left the factory, and is not necessarily the case now. Unless specifically stated, these watches are not fully serviced (though they will have been inspected inside and out), and I offer no guarantees as to the current level of Water Resistance. Similarly, though I test all watches for accuracy and describe accordingly, this is no guarantee of future performance. Vintage watches are by definition less accurate than their modern quartz counterparts. When purchasing a vintage watch, especially of high value, I would always advise the buyer to have the item inspected by a qualified jeweller, who should be able to identify any issues that I may have missed, and advise on water resistance, or servicing requirements. Of course, should any issue then come to light, I will do everything possible to assist - as you can see from my 100% Feedback!
I've got a few other interesting lots coming up for sale in the next few weeks (Breitling Cartier Armani Omega Gucci Boss) - Check out my other items! or be sure to add me to your favourites list! Bid with confidence - Over 740 Transactions, 100% Positive Feedback |
