Schatten TC Passive Tricone Resonator Guitar Pickup
The TC pickups are designed specifically for tricone type resonator guitars. For biscuit bridge guitars, use the Schatten NR series pickups. For spider bridge guitars, use the Schatten RG series pickups.
The Schatten TC pickup can be installed in a non-invasive manner with minimal or no modifications to your instrument. This pickup has proven to be very popular with our players and artist and it provides great sound quality with good anti-feedback characteristics.
Passive Model, No Preamp
Players who will be plugging directly into a 'normal' guitar amp will find that they get great sound quality from the TC in passive form. No preamp should be required in this situation. Should you require the preamp but don't want to put it and a battery inside your tricone then you should purchase the TC in passive format and add one of the Schatten outboard Preamp/DI units to your pickup system. If you already own an outboard guitar preamp, the TC pickups in passive format should work properly with just about anything you might have.
Shipping
Shipping is FREE within the United States via United States Postal Service (USPS), to the following locations:
- All 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii
- US possessions, including American Samoa, Micronesia, Guam, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands
- APO/FPO (military) addresses, including AA, AE and AP
Expedited shipping is available at actual cost and will ship on the next shipping cycle for in-stock items. We can ship to a PO box or any valid street address. We do not provide walk-in service, sorry. Please allow 24-48 hours for order processing. For fastest service, please include a daytime phone number in case we have any questions about your order.
International Shipping
We can ship this item to almost anywhere in the world using the United States Postal Service (USPS). You can email us for an exact shipping quote to your country before you purchase this item. Please note that USPS stated delivery times do not include time spent in Customs, which can vary.
Buyer is responsible for any local taxes, duties or customs fees, which will be collected when item is delivered. Items will be declared at actual purchase price as "commercial sample" -- we cannot declare eBay purchases at a lower price or as "gift" or "used" -- no exceptions!
USPS First Class Mail International (FCMI) is 4-6 weeks to most countries, but can take longer. No tracking, delivery time can vary greatly.
USPS Priority Mail International (PMI) provides tracking only to major cities. Delivery time is 3-5 weeks or more, depending on time spent in Customs. Priority Mail service may be considered "expedited" in some countries which may incur additional Customs fees.
USPS Priority Mail to Canada - Trackable to major cities, about 1-2 weeks delivery depending on time spent in Customs. Items made in the U.S. will be declared as MADE IN USA for Customs purposes.
USPS Express Mail International (Global Express Mail - RECOMMENDED) is 3-5 days plus time in Customs (about 1-2 weeks total), trackable and insured, typically $25-35 depending on country and weight of package. This service is available during checkout. USPS Express Mail service has a guaranteed delivery time of 3-5 business days (including time in Customs) to Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Spain (except Canary Islands), and South Korea.
USPS Express Mail Guaranteed (Global Express Guaranteed) is 3-4 business days including time in Customs, trackable and insured, typically $50-80 depending on country and weight of package. This service is available by request only, and is not available to all countries. Delivery is by Federal Express and may incur higher fees. This service is not available in some countries.
We do NOT ship via Fedex, UPS or DHL outside of the United States (except through USPS Express Mail Guaranteed via Fedex).

We DO NOT accept cash payments or bank transfers. For international credit card orders, we require shipping address verification (which takes several days for some countries, and is not possible for some countries), or a payment from a verified PayPal account to a confirmed shipping address.
Warranty and Returns
Warranty - The products we sell are brand new in the box and covered under the manufacturer's warranty, unless otherwise specified in the auction listing. We do not perform warranty repairs -- all warranty service and replacement is performed by the manufacturer. Buyer should contact the manufacturer of the product for warranty service during the warranty period.
International Warranty - When an item is shipped outside of the United States, it is covered by the U.S. warranty only, and must be serviced in the United States. If the product is defective or requires warranty service, it must be sent back to us for service. This includes products that are defective on arrival, as they may have been damaged in transit or during installation. Buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping in both directions for warranty items. Please contact us for return information before returning any items for warranty service.
Returns - We accept returns of new, unopened items within 30 days of purchase. We do not accept returns of opened or installed items, or where an installation has been attempted. Returned items must be in brand new, resellable condition with all of the original parts and packaging intact and unmodified. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is required for returns - all packages shipped to us without a return authorization will be refused. A 10% minimum restocking fee applies to all returns, and shipping costs are not refundable. Please see our web site for more details about our return policy.
