Up for auction, a beautiful set of Reed And Barton Savannah Sterling Flatware. Set consists of 77 pieces. 12 place settings consisting of 6 pieces each. 2 forks, 2 spoons, and 2 knives.There are 5 serving pieces, 1 butter knife, 1 sugar spoon, 1 large serving  spoon, 1 large serving fork, and 1 large slotted serving spoon. The Savannah pattern was first issued in 1962.  Dinner fork is 7.5 inches, salad fork is 6.5 inches, soup spoon is 7 inches, tea spoon is 6 inches,butter knife is 6.75 inches, dinner knife is 9 inches.and large serving pieces are 8.75 inches. Butter knife is 7 inches, sea shell sugar spoon is 6.25 inches. Each piece, except knives, say Reed and Barton Sterling. Knives say Reed and Barton Mirroestele Sterling handle. Shipping and handling includes insurance for the full value of the set. There are approximately 88 Troy ounces of pure silver, valued at approximately  $1600.00; at current silver prices. Here you have a great silver investment. Silver was $23/oz, 2 years ago.

 

 

It was $52/oz in 1980. With the current inflating of the currency, the sky is the limit, plus you have a beautiful silver set to enjoy for years to come. There are no monograms or initials on flatware.
