This camera is a Hi8 sony handycam, it is not an older 1998 unit, if you choose to shoot XRAY videos the 2.5 LCD screen is very useful.  Trying to shoot  videos by looking through the view finder is too obvious!!! This camera is great for shooting infrared videos!
