1940's Classy Blue Crepe Dinner Dress

A chance to buy vintage items at very attractive prices. The pieces come from a private collector, fashion Historian lecturer, and a member of the Costume Society of America, that have been aquired over the past 30 years, covering the mid 1800's to 1970.

Figure Flattering basic dinner dress of the mid 1940's WWII era. Includes matching taffeta slip with underarm guards. Simple V neckline with sewn in tucks to emphasize bustline. Long sleeves with cuffs cover arms to wrist length. Attached self belt with dressmaker double circle buckle. Gentley flared bias cut skirt to floor. Heavy taffeta slip assures of smooth lines. Side matal zipper.

Condition: Good - Sturdy wearable fabric. no underarm staining - but several light brownish stains on left hip - barely visible. 1 pinhole on skirt and 1 pinhole on shoulder of right sleeve.

Measurements: Slip: Bust 36"  Waist 28" Hips 36" Length 54"  Dress : Bust 36"  Waist 26"  Hips 36"  Length 57"  SL L 20"  SL W 12"  necklace not included.
