RARE Art Nouveau Ladies Face Inkwell Ink stand Dore NR
Hello bidders. Up for bid today is a very attractive and very nice Art Nouveau inkwell or ink stand. This screams nouveau with sineous swirls around the side with an ethereal woman's face on the inkwell cover. Instead of a lift top this one has a pivot that slides off to the side. The inkwell is clear glass and is in nice condition with no chips, cracks or damage. The stand is in good condition and is in nice original condition with the original patina. Only markings are on the lid and the back of the stand both being the number 4575. The stand dates circa 1910. The underside appears to be a dore bronze color. The inkwell is brass with a bronze color. Has a nice little spot for a dip pen to lay. The piece measures just over a hair of 7" by 5" deep by 2 3/8" tall. I am unsure of the origin but I would bet this is American. Take a look at the photos of this amazing antique art nouveau inkwell and if you have any questions please feel free to email me.
