I am not an expert on anything I sell. If it is an item I have owned I will have more knowledge about it than something I am selling for someone else. I will try to answer any queries as best I can. I accept returns within 7 days for most items. I do not accept returns for extremely fragile or difficult to ship items. “No returns” is stated in those particular auctions. Cost of return shipping is at buyer’s expense. After the item has been returned undamaged, in the same condition it left me, you will be refunded your winning bid amount, less eBay seller fees. COMMUNICATION: Please email through eBay’s messaging system only. If you try to contact me direct through my email it is very likely I will never see the message, either due to spam filters, or because I do not open emails from addresses that are unfamiliar to me. I will get back to you as quickly as possible. My time frame is 24 - 48 hours, but I try to check eBay messages twice a day which means it is very likely you will hear from me much sooner. The exception is when I am away and/or do not have internet access for an extended period of time. I try to post the “away status” in my auctions, or, not run auctions for the duration. FEEDBACK: I am not an advocate of negative feedback. I believe the eBay community is honest and committed to keeping this site a viable happy place to do business. If there is an issue between parties, I feel it is likely a misunderstanding that can be resolved with communication, and perhaps a little patience, prior to marring someone’s reputation with negative comments. As a seller, I had been leaving positive feedback for buyers soon after payment was received. Unfortunately, and much to my surprise, I have found that some buyers neglect to leave feedback after they receive their item. My revised feedback procedure now is to wait to receive feedback from a buyer before I post feedback to their account. This ensures me that the buyer is a happy customer. PAYMENT: I accept paypal only. I would appreciate payment within 7 days of the auction closing. After 14 days, if you have not made payment, or contacted me regarding when payment will be made, I will file an unpaid item case. I understand people travel; have emergencies, computer issues, illness, etc. What I ask is that you communicate with me in this regard. If we have discussed and agreed that payment will be made after the 14-day time frame, you still must make payment within 30 days of the auction close. On the 31st day, if still unpaid, the item will be relisted and I will file a claim with eBay. Exception to Payment Policy: When an auction is for time sensitive items, such as concert tickets, or a Buy It Now listing, specific payment requirements for that auction will be stated at that time. SHIPPING: You must have a confirmed address with paypal. The majority of the time I am able to, and do, ship within 24 hours after payment has been received. I make every effort to ship within 3 business days after receipt of payment. I primarily use the US Postal Service (USPS), but also ship I cannot guarantee a timeframe for your package to arrive, or the treatment of your package, but I have faith that the U.S. Post Office and other shippers do their best to deliver undamaged goods in a timely manner. My listings state shipping to the I look for the most economical way to ship and the majority of the time that is Parcel Post. Please be aware, it is also one of the slowest ways to ship. I am located in the northeast (RI) and it can take several days, even a couple of weeks for a package to reach the west coast via parcel post or media mail. My postage fees are based on east coast to west coast shipping charges, which, uncontrollably, are higher than if I was shipping from a I am happy to combine shipping when feasible. INSURANCE: I require insurance on some items, but often leave it to the buyer’s discretion. My opinion is that you should always purchase insurance and I may state that purchasing insurance is highly recommended due to the nature of the item. Please be aware that without it, a buyer has no recourse if an item is lost or damaged in transit. As a seller, I end my responsibility for the care of an item when it is delivered to the post office, The buyer is responsible for filing any insurance claims. The procedure for filing a claim with the post office can be found on the USPS website. The USPS “may require the addressee to turn the materials over to a Post Office for inspection, retention, and disposition in accordance with the claims decision.” If additional information is needed from me for your claim, please let me know and I will do my best to provide you with whatever is necessary.
