A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
I was told by a local Historian that this was a World War I German Stahlhelm Style Helmet. I am no expert but I will give you my best attempt to describe it. It has no visible dents, cracks or any problems. The color is a dark olive green. The chinstrap is supple and still intact and I would rate the condition as +++ I am amazed that a item almost 100 years old is still in such good condition. I am listing a entire estate sale of military items in the next few weeks. There are several WW I thru current--- German and American helmets--- many bayonets and knifes and a few swords from the Civil war thru WW II ---so please keep checking my listings. As I have said I am not a Militaria expert and only describe each item to the limit of my knowledge and the research available to me. I f you can help provide any more information on the item I will edit my discription Best of luck, and I will answer questions to the best of my ability.
