The Naish Helix is designed for beginner through advanced riders seeking a stable, easy-handling kite. Beginners will enjoy the smooth and responsive steering, light bar pressure, and massive depower capability. Advanced riders will appreciate the balanced feel hooked-in or unhooked. Its easy relaunch will help beginner to advanced get back up and going at a moments notice. This year it offers super fast turning, superior glide, great upwind ability, easier water relaunch and more direct bar feel. These improvements have been achieved by reducing the number of struts, lowering the aspect ratio, developing a new bridle platform and reworking the arc; making it the first ever Geotech Generated C-Shaped kite.

The Naish Helix kite is totally re-designed for 2009 and is now a 5-strut "C"-shaped Sigma kite. To achieve more direct steering, the back line bridal has been eliminated and back flying lines now connect directly to the kite. The front bridal has been simplified so the 2009 Helix kite flies and feels like a "C" kite with heaps of depower. Turning speed, power and pull during turns are due to the "C" shape. The lower aspect and "C" shaped arc of the 2009 Helix make the kite perfect for unhooked moves. Also, 4m extensions are a great new feature. This allows riders to rig the kite on 24m lines for the lighter wind days.
