VALENTINO DI PAOLO Handbag Backpack: Lovely

I purchased this Valentino di Paolo backpack purse a couple weeks ago on E-bay for $45 plus shipping.  It was advertised as being all leather, but I think the seller was mistaken.  I took it to a cobbler since the trim and straps looked like leather, but didn't feel like it, and she confirmed that they were vinyl.  She believed the body of the bag, however, was leather.  It's supple and has a sweet vintage look to the leather.  There is an interior tag that reads, " Valentino di Paolo.  Made in Italy" but no tag specifying material.  Because of this, I'm starting the auction for a lower price than I purchased it for.

Still, it's a very pretty bag that was simply too small to hold all my school things (I'm a teacher).  I would keep and use it otherwise.  So, it hasn't left the house (other than the trip for the cobbler to examine it) or been worn at all by me.

It's approximately 10" tall at the highest point by 8" across by 7" in width back to front.  Light cognac colored body with dark brown trim and straps.  The best part of this bag is all the pockets to keep things organized.  Two zipped pockets (approximately 6 1/2 inches long) in front with separate compartments.  Two zipped pockets (approximately 7 1/2 inches long) entered from the top, again with separate compartments; one compartment has an additional zipped pocket. 

Lots of gold/brass (?) hardware: zipper pulls engraved with "Valentino di Paolo"; two large rings at the top; and four studs at the base of the trim below those rings.  There are only slight signs of wear: a couple of marks above the decorative buckle (barely noticeable unless you look for it) and one of the two detachable snap buckles to keep the straps in place is starting to open (see third photo), but this is only noticeable if you take off the buckle.  These buckles aren't even necessary for use.  The interior is extremely clean; if I looked only at that, I would guess it to be new.
