Australian 20mm x 15mm Black Opal Triplet. This Triplet shows Beautiful Bright Pin Fire Flashes of Red, Orange, Green & Blue as you move it in your hand. If you are thinking of buying an Australian Black Opal Triplet consider this one. It's a Beauty! This Triplet has several faces. I have photographed it in Higher light & Lower light to show you how different it can appear. Please take note, the background Color is Dark Gray to Black, Not Blue. This Black Opal Triplet is much more Beautiful in hand than the photos show it to be. I put a US Dime in photo #3 for a Size comparison. The box it's sitting in is a 1" x 1" Square. Please know that the photos are enlarged. Please be aware that Colors or Tones may appear slightly different on different monitors. The Triplet in the photos is the one you are bidding on. Any white spots are from the lighting. An Opal Triplet has three parts. First there is a base, usually of Stone, like Onyx. The base is usually Black or Dark to show the Precious Opal at it's Best. Second, there is a thin slice of Precious Opal glued to the base. Third, a Crystal dome is placed over the Opal and glued to the base.
