Up for Auction is this ONE OF A KIND Yamaha GB-1 Baby Grand Piano! This piano is in NEAR MINT condition and represents one of the most popular of the Yamaha series. At only 4’11” in length, its compact size makes it ideal for just about any location. For over a century, Yamaha has been producing some of the finest pianos on the market and you can see by the pictures it will be a stunning addition to your home. This piano spent the 2008-2009 concert season in the Renaissance Theater in Mansfield, Ohio as shows of all kinds entertained the audiences. Some of the artists used this piano to perform their shows which is why I am not listing it as new. But used takes on a whole new meaning when you can say; "used by some of the most talented musicians in the industry." Included with this piano are the bench, polishing cloths and the original documentation. In addition, you will be provided a season brochure, a program and laminated pictures detailing the various signatures with some information about the artists. Who else could claim such a rare piece of entertainment memorabilia?! For your perusal, here are the names of the various artists that signed the piano and a little information about them. Please keep in mind that the information contained is from the Internet and as such, I cannot guarantee the accuracy. Names marked with a * signify that the artist actually played the piano. v Jerry Lee Lewis (born September 29, 1935) is an American rock and roll and country music singer, songwriter and pianist. An early pioneer of rock and roll music, Lewis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and his pioneering contribution to the genre has been recognized by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame. In 2004, Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #24 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. In 2003, they listed his box set All Killer, No Filler: The Anthology #242 on their list of "500 greatest albums of all time". v Sally Ann Struthers (born July 28, 1948) is a two-time Emmy-winning American actress and spokeswoman, known for her roles in sitcoms and television, particularly that of Gloria Bunker Stivic, the daughter of Archie and Edith Bunker on All in the Family. She is also known for playing Babette on Gilmore Girls. v *Davy Jones (born December 30, 1945) is best known as a member of the Monkees but also as an actor on television and Broadway. He is a Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and was also nominated for both a Tony Award and an Emmy Award for acting. He has appeared on numerous television shows including the Ed Sullivan Show, the Brady Bunch and even Sponge Bob Square Pants as a spoof on Davy Jones’ Locker. v *Koko Taylor (September 28, 1928 - June 3, 2009) also known as the “Queen of the Blues” was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 1997. Among her awards are included a Grammy, a Howlin’ Wolf Award and the Blues Music Award which she won 24 separate times. (More than any other artist) v The Lettermen (Founded in the late 50s) currently consists of original founder Tony Butala, along with Donovan Tea and Mark Preston. Although their membership has changed over the past 50 years, the Letterman have had 32 consecutive Billboard Magazine chart albums, 11 gold records, five Grammy nominations, an Andy Award, and a Cleo Award. In 1961 they began performing over 100 live shows each year, a tradition that has continued for the past 48 years. v Jodi Benson (born October 10, 1961) is best known as the voice of ‘Princess Ariel’ in Disney’s The Little Mermaid and its sequels. An accomplished actress and soprano singer, she has been the voice in dozens of films and received a Tony Award nomination for best Actress. v *Jim Brickman (born 1961) is an American songwriter and pianist. He has been named the most charted male Adult Contemporary artist to date, with six of his albums receiving Gold and Platinum status. He is known for his solo piano compositions, pop-style instrumentals, and vocal collaborations with artists such as Michael W. Smith, Martina McBride, Donny Osmond, Olivia Newton-John, Lady Antebellum, and others. He earned a Grammy nomination in 2003, SESAC "Songwriter of the Year" Award, Canadian Country Music Award for "Best Vocal/ Instrumental Collaboration", and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association. v Jungle Jack Hanna (born January 2, 1947 as John Bushnell Hanna) is the Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. His media appearances have made him one of the best known and well liked animal experts in the United States. v Bonnie St. John (born November 7, 1964) is the first African-American ever to win medals in Winter Paralympic competition as a ski racer. In the 1984 Winter Paralympics, Bonnie won bronze medals in both the slalom and giant slalom, and was awarded a silver medal for overall performance. She has worked in the White House, written several motivational books and currently gives motivational speeches to literally tens of thousands of people each year. v Eileen Ivers (born July 13, 1965) is an Irish-American musician who grew up in the Bronx. She spent summers in Ireland and took up the fiddle at age nine. She toured with The Green Fields of America and Cherish the Ladies, but her greatest fame came when she replaced the original fiddler in Riverdance and began to tour with the troupe in 1995. v Ruben Studdard (born September 12, 1978) winner of the second season of American Idol, is a Pop, R&B and Gospel singer that has released four studio albums. He received a Grammy Award nomination in 2003 for the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance of Superstar. He has appeared on various television shows, toured with Robin Givens in the comedy-drama Heaven I Need a Hug and in 2008 accepted the role of Fats Waller in a national tour of Ain't Misbehavin'. v Franchelle "Frenchie" Davis (born May 7, 1979) is an R&B singer and former contestant on the second season of American Idol. She has performed in Rent, Dreamgirls, Mahalia, A Gospel Musical (as Mahalia Jackson) and a national tour of Ain't Misbehavin'. v Colin Andrew Mochrie (born November 30, 1957) is a Scottish Canadian actor and improvisational comedian best known for his continued role in the hit series Whose Line is it Anyway? He teamed up with Brad Sherwood in 2004 to tour the United States and Canada performing in a critically acclaimed, two-man improv show entitled, An Evening With Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood. v Brad Sherwood (born November 24, 1964) is an American actor, comedian, writer and producer. He has appeared in numerous television shows including over 100 sketches on the Tonight Show, but is probably most remembered for his appearances on the hit series Whose Line is it Anyway? He is now touring the US and Canada with Colin Mochrie in the two-man improv show; An Evening With Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood. v Doug Labreque thrilled theatre audiences as ‘The Phantom’ and ‘Raoul’ in the Harold Prince production of The Phantom of the Opera, has starred on Broadway as ‘Ravenal’ in the revival of Showboat and has toured nationally with Les Miserables. He has performed leading roles in Candide, A Chorus Line and Man of La Mancha among many others. An active concert performer, he has been a soloist with some of the world’s finest symphony orchestras including The National Symphony, The Israel Philharmonic (Tel Aviv), The Chicago Symphony, The Cleveland Orchestra, The Atlanta Symphony, The San Francisco Symphony and many others. v Debbie Gravitte (born September 29, 1954) is an American actress and singer. She made her Broadway debut in the chorus of They're Playing Our Song in 1979 and continued with credits in Blues in the Night, Zorba, Les Misérables, Chicago, and Jerome Robbins' Broadway, for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. She was nominated for the Drama Desk Award for Jerome Robbins' Broadway and the Frank Loesser revue: Perfectly Frank. v *James Lapine (born January 10, 1949) is an American stage director and librettist. Lapine was born in Mansfield, Ohio and graduated from Franklin and Marshall College. He was a photographer, graphic designer and architectural preservationist before being introduced to theatre as a scenic designer at Yale University. He has won both the Tony Award and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical three times. He also is recipient of an Obie Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. v ZOSO was formed in 1995 to create the most mesmerizing and accurate portrayal of Led Zeppelin. ("the biggest band of the 1970’s" according to Rolling Stone Magazine).
