TALES FROM THE ARABIAN NIGHTS TRANSLATED BY ANDREW LANG READER'S DIGEST THE WORLD'S BEST READING Once upon a time there was a king who took a new bride every night - and had her beheaded the next morning. Then he married shrewd Scheherazade, who found the secret to survival: Tell the king a story every night, but save the ending for the following day. So were born the most magical tales ever told, "Tales From the Arabian Nights." You are bidding on a beautifully bound hardcover book featuring these tales. It is a Reader's Digest selection of "The World's Best Reading," published in 1991. It is in like-new condition. Also includes the book insert from Reader's Digest. The book features fine binding with ornate and decorative lettering and design on the spine and cover.. Illustrations are in both black and white and muted colors. I acquired this book from the library of a local individual who was moving and discontinuing his library collection. His signature is on the inside title page. I have other books listed with others to follow and am always happy to combine shipping. Shipping is at the lowest rate "media mail" and is nonnegotiable. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING MY LISTING.
