The Cochise Community College is approximately 6 or 7 miles west of the subdivision. Although the subdivision is not in the city limits of Douglas it is right on the Northern City Limits Border Line and I expect it will be annexed in the future making city water and sewer available. Tucson is approximately one hours drive West. With a county permit an RV may be parked on the lot now. So your investment can be used and enjoyed immediately upon signing the contract and making your first $75 monthly payment and used as a snowbird retreat from the harsh Northern Winters without paying high lot rent elsewhere. Electricity, water and phone are available near the subdivision. Reason for selling is that I have lung cancer and need the cash for medical bills now. I paid a high price for this lot due to its potential, especially if the plans for the World Class Golf Course go through. There are higher priced homes near the golf course now, along Golf Course Road, which is in the City Limits. The lot can be seen from Business Route 10 (Hwy 80) (the property is located between Hwy 191 & Hwy 80), however there is a vacant field between the lot and highway so one would need to drive through Douglas to North Washington Avenue and turn North to reach the subdivision and the lot. You will see the model home signs along the way. The subdivision sits right on the North City Limits Line. The Tri-Cities of Douglas, Pirtleville and Augua Prieta, Sonora Mexico have a population of approximately 100,000 and modern low cost medical, dental facilities and low cost medication, as well as stores like a Super Wal-Mart along with everything metropolitan areas have to offer. The area is growing fast and Douglas has recently added a state of the art fitness center. I mentioned that just to the West of Douglas are old mining towns like Bisbee, the County Seat of Cochise County, that has old west charm combined with sidewalk cafes and unique shops. Further west are historic towns like Tombstone that are still much as they were in the old west except for the trolley that will take you on a tour back through the days of Jesse James and Doc Holliday when the Old West was the new frontier and fortunes were made and lost on the turn of a card. A town where hard working miners and cowboys came for supplies and to blow off steam and gamblers, gun fighters and girls of the night came seeking fortune and fame. It is now a tourist town that will take you back in time to the days when the West was really wild. There are ghost towns that were once alive with commerce and action as well as old mining claims, some which are still active. Today this area is alive with tourists and on hot summer weekends it is flooded with campers from Phoenix and Tucson seeking a break from the heat and hectic city life during the week.
