Elvis Presley came onto the music scene in 1954 with "Thats all RIght, Mama" his first release, recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis Tennesee.  This started Elvis Presley career into full super stardom.Elvis Presley was married to Priscilla Presley and they had a child Lisa Marie Presley.Elvis Presley starred in many films and many hit records including, Love Me Tender, Treat Me Nice, It' Now or Never, Are You Lonesome Tonight, Return To Sender and Blue Hawaii.The King of Rock n Roll was born January 8, 1935.  Growing up in Memphis his
musical talents were influenced heavily by the blues and gospel music he
heard.  Elvis’s break really came by getting hooked up with Colonel Tom
Parker his manager, who got him signed for his first hit, “Heartbreak
Hotel.”  He was a hit to the teenage scene, but also controversial in his
television appearances because of those gyrating hips.  Cameramen were even
instructed to keep the camera in close-ups so as not to reveal the
provocative moves he was making on stage.  Elvis’s presence shaped American
music for the time as he recorded hit after hit.  Then he branched off into
teen idol movies.  While music styles changed in the 60s and 70s,  he still
performed, but not with huge hits, though in 1969 he topped the charts again
with “Suspicious Minds.”  His personal life included struggles with food,
alcohol and drugs.  He was married to Priscilla Presley and has a daughter,
Lisa Marie Presley, both of whom are in the entertainment business.  Elvis
died in 1977 but he lives on in the minds of his adoring fans who flock to
his Graceland mansion in Memphis.
